GLobal Privacy

Here you can change global privacy settings. They can drastically change the way content will be displayed on your site, therefore take some time to check those settings.

Mandatory user approve
Turn this feature on if you would like newly registered users to be approved by the admin before they will be able to use your site.

Who can join
You can disable public registration and allow registration only via invitations. To do so select By invitation only option. Select Anyone if you would like anyone to be able to register on your site.

Guests can view the site
You can also disable guest users from viewing your site, or allow to do so only via passwords.

Moderators

Use this page to make different users moderators of different site features. Check check boxes of needed features next to desired profile.

Moderators with Base permissions can moderate user profiles. Moderators with Admin permissions will have full access to editing all features sitewide, including admin panel.

Note: all check boxes next to the profile of the user who created the site are disables since this profile has the right do moderate all features by default. For security purposes this can not be changed.

To add a new profile to the moderators team, enter profile's Username and click Make Moderator. Once you do so, you will be able to set which features this user will be able to moderate (as shown above).

Privacy & Permissions

Here you can manage available actions for different User Roles on the site. For example, you can deny users with user role free to send and read private messages and allow this action for users with user role gold. You can also set actions available to guest users here.

For your convenience, actions are grouped by the currently active plug ins.

Note: Pay attention that you can create new user roles and delete old ones on a separate page User roles management
