Pages

In this section all site pages and menu items are listed. Here you can:

add/delete/rename pages
change the menu's position
enable/disable pages for users and guests
customize the widgets on the pages
etc.

Manage pages

Here you can create the pages, rename the items, change permissions, move the pages, delete the pages.

Special pages

In this section you can enable/disable the Splash screen and Maintenance Page.

User Profile

Profile page is a component panel. It's general layout comes from whatever you place in Admin area > Pages > User Profile.

In addition to widgets available for placement there, page consists of hard coded components such as avatar image, gallery, toolbar and etc. Look and feel of each component can be changed in various places.

To add the widget to the User Profile page, drag and drop it to the Top, Bottom or Middle content.

Click the Edit (wheel) icon against the widget’s title to manage the widget's settings.

You can make the widget visible to a certain user role only:

1. Click the Edit (wheel) icon against the widget’s title;

2. Check the Restrict view box;

3. Uncheck the boxes for Free;

4. Check the box for VIP role;

5. Click the Save button.

This way the widget will be visible only to users with VIP user role.

To delete the widget, click the Delete (cross) icon against the widget’s title.

Here is the list of widgets available for the User Profile page:

About me - is a small text box allowing users to add the information about themselves.

If you add this widget to the User Profile page, the box will show up on My Profile page.

User will have to enter the information and click the Submit button.

The widget will be shown on the User page.

The Wall widget allows users to add comments to the user.

My Membership - the basic function of this widget is to show the date of the purchased membership and the number of days left till the next upgrade. Widget asking users to upgrade is added to sidebar and shows only if user can upgrade to the higher plan. This widget is visible only to the users with the paid membership.

Photo Albums widget shows the albums on the page.

Gifts widget shows the user's gifts.

Profile Details widget consists of all information user entered during the registration on the site.

Custom text/HTML widget allows you to add the custom text or image to the page.

RSS - is a news feed. Please see the general info at http://www.whatisrss.com/

If the Allow users to customize this page box is checked, your changes in Admin area won't apply to user pages.

Note: The widget will show up on the page only if it consists of some content. If the user has no gifts, the Gifts widget won't be visible on the User Profile page.

User Dashboard

In this area you can customize the Dashboard page by adding the widgets.

Here is the list of widgets available for the User Profile page:

Hot List widget consists of the users added themselves to the Hot list. ¹⁾

Users can add themselves to Hot list by clicking the Are you hot too? link.

My Membership - the basic function of this widget is to show the date of the purchased membership and the number of days left till the next upgrade. Quick Links is a dynamic widget. The content of this widget gets built automatically. The number of links depends on the plugins installed on the site.

My credits widget shows credits of the user.²⁾

Users can view the information on credits cost by clicking the Cost of actionslink.

To view the credits history, the user should click the History link.

To purchase more credits, user should click the Buy more button.

Recently viewed me widget shows all users who viewed your profile. ³⁾

Moderator panel - this widget will be visible to the site moderator only. Here is more information on the site moderators.

Welcome! widget allows users to change avatar, upload photos, change profile details, change matchmaking settings, search for users. You can remove or edit the links in Admin area > Settings > Language:

search by “Welcome to our site! Here are a few quick links” keywords. Text key to edit: {text key='skadate+welcome_widget_content'}

Quick Search widget refers to the User search plugin; users can search using this widget.

Bookmarks widget consists of the bookmarked users. It consists of the online and online users.

My Matches widget lists the top and latest matches. Follow the link to configure the matchmaking plugin.

Mobile experience - here you can add the links to the mobile apps.

Plugins

Use Plugins section to manage plugins (add, delete, edit settings) installed on your site. Plugin is a piece of software that adds new features to the site. For example: photos, forum, blogs etc.

Manage Plugins

This page lists all plugins installed on your site.

Active Plugins

All active plugins are listed in this section. Hover the mouse over plugin's name to see action menu:

settings (optional) : redirects to the plugin settings page where you can do all necessary changes.
deactivate : turns the plugin off. Please note that it doesn't delete the plugin completely, it just “hides” the plugin from users on the front end of your site. Once the plugin is deactivated it will be placed under Inactive Plugins list.
uninstall : deletes the plugin. Please note that once plugin is deleted it will placed under Available Plugins section and all data associated with it will be lost.

Note: If plugin doesn't have any settings, settings button will not appear on mouse hover

Inactive Plugins

Once plugin is deactivated it is placed in this section. Use this feature if you would like to hide the plugin temporarily without deleting it.
Following actions can be applied to inactive plugins:

activate : click this button to activate the plugin.

Available Plugins

You can see all available plugins on this page. Hover the mouse over the plugin's name and select one of the following actions:

install : installs the plugin on your site. Once the plugin is insatlled it is placed under Manage Plugins section.
delete : deletes the plugin and all it's files from the site.

Add New

Use this page to add new plugins. You can always download plugins from Oxwall Store. Browse the Store for new and interesting plugins developed by Oxwall Foundation team and contributors.

To add a new plugin:

Click on Choose File/Browse File botton→ in a dialog window select the plugin acrhieve → Click Upload
Enter user's FTP access details → Push Enter
If you did everything correctly, new plugin will appear in Available Plugins section

Note: Use FTP access detals of the same user that you used when installing Oxwall to your server. If this is impossible, use FTP access details of any other with the rights to rewrite Oxwall files on your server. If you get any questions, please contact your hosting company.

Themes

Themes

Use Appearance section to change the look and feel of your site. Here you can either edit current theme or select another one.

Edit Theme

Theme Settings

You can see currently active theme on your main page with information about it and some attributes you can change. Attributes can be of different types: colors, fonts, images and etc. Using them you can change the look and feel of your site to some extent.

Note: Set of available attributes depends on the theme. Some themes might not have any changeable attributes at all.

Example: Change header image

Find following element:

Instead of the default image upload another image file from your computer. Changes will take effect immediately after you click Save button.

CSS

Note: If you are not confident in your CSS style skills, we do not recommend using this tool. As a result of your mistakes your web site might stop working. You need to select the most suitable theme and limit yourself to the set of its attributes.

Here you can see existing CSS styles of your currently active theme and add new ones. Please note that we offer you to add your own styles separately instead of replacing original CSS files. This way you can easily trace your changes and localize possible issues.

Graphics

If you are editing your theme via CSS, you might need custom images. Use this page to upload images from your computer and to add URLs of uploaded files in CSS styles.

Note: Сustom images are saved in your current theme. They will not appear in any other theme, unless you activate the other theme and uploade images there as well.

Choose theme

Here you can see the list of available themes on your site. You can activate any of them and it will immediately replace previously active theme.

Note: Customizations made to previously active theme will be saved. You can activate any of the previously used themes at any time with all changes you have made in them before.

Add theme

You can also add other themes created by Oxwall Foundation team and contributors. To do add a theme visit Oxwall Store (http://www.oxwall.org/store/themes) and download the file of wanted theme. Then upload downloaded file on this page. Once the theme is uploaded it will appear in Available themes list.

Note: Some themes in Oxwall Store are paid ones. Once you purchase the theme you will receive a license to your Oxwall account and a download link. All other steps are similar to those you follow when adding a free theme.
