Overview

CloudFlare is a service that allows you to improve website performance and speed by 20%-30% with no cost. Service can be used both with shared and dedicated/VPS servers.

Install CloudFlare plugin
Create account on CloudFlare
Change nameservers in your registrar account.

Creating account on CloudFlare

Go to https://www.cloudflare.com/ > click Sign up:

Fill in the form and click Create account now:

The Home page will open. Enter your site URL and click Add website:

The page opens. The system needs some time to make all required configurations. You can watch the video on this service. As soon as you see Scan complete message, click Continue:

CloudFLare settings

Once you click Continue DNS configuration page will open. Scroll down, click I've added all missing records, continue:

Choose a plan Free (or paid if you need extra settings). Select the following values and click Continue:

Performance: CDN + basic optimizations (faster)
Security: Low

For example, jim.ns.cloudflare.com,kim.ns.cloudflare.com

As soon as you changed DNS, click I've updated my nameservers, continue:

After that the system will direct you to the page with new domain. If the name servers were not set yet, you should wait and click the Re-test button.

As soon as name servers were set, click the wheel icon against your domain and click CloudFlare Settings. Do not make any settings in the Site Overview section. Go to Security settings section > select following value:

Security profile: Low

Leave other settings as default.

Go to Performance settings section > select the Auto Minify (Web optimization) value.

Enable all options:JS CSS HTML

All settings are saved automatically.

Note: If you chose pro plan, a couple of settings are available.

We recommend to change them:

Website preloader: on
Mirage: off
If you need SSL on the site, set: Full SSL
Polish: image optimization Basic

Go to your Oxwall Admin panel> Plugins >Installed Plugins >Cloud Flare >Settings> Check the Enable CloudFlare box >Click Save.

Important

For cPannel/FTP access use a cache-bypassed host name, like direct.yoursitename.com instead of cPannel/FTP hostname provided by your hosting company.

If you make some changes related to the CSS HTML programming languages or PHP/JS code, you should clear cache in the CloudFlare:

Login to your CloudFlare account.
Click the wheel icon against your domain.
Select the icon and click CloudFlare Settings.
Click the Purge Cache button in the Site Overview section.

How to configure Contact Importer plugin

Facebook

1. Go to http://www.facebook.com/developers/createapp.php and create an application

2. Click My Apps > Add a New App in the top menu.

3. Create App ID:

4.Select “Communication” App Categpory from next pop up:

5. Click “Skip Quick Start” from upper right corner. You will be navigated to App Dashboard page.

6. Click “Settings” from the left sidebar:

7. Click “Add Platform” > select “Website” from opened pop up > Enter your site URL > Save changes:

8. Enter your domain name into “App Domains” field and your contact email into “Contact Email” field > Save changes one more time.

10. Click “Status&Review” section from left sidebar. Set “Do you want to make this app and all its live features available to the general public?” from “No” to “Yes”:

App Details

To upload your own logo add add additional information about your App navigate to App Details from left sidebar:

Once all changes are saved go back to “Settings” and copy 'App ID' and 'App Secret':

Go to Admin Panel > Plugins > Installed Plugins > Contact Importer > Settings section. Fill 'APP ID' and 'APP SECRET' with values from step 2.

Installation completed.

Google

To allow site users import contacts from Google, follow these steps:

1. Click on “API Project” at https://console.developers.google.com/project

2.Navigate to APIS&AUTH > Credentials > Create New Client ID from the left menu.

Fill in the form by:

Application type - Web application
Authorized Java Script Origins- URL of your site.
Redirect URI- URL to the place where Oxwall is installed with /google/oauth string. Example: http://sitename.com/google/oauth

3. Once Client ID is created copy the Client ID and Client secret and paste it into your Admin Area > Plugins > Installed Plugins > Contact Importer plugin > Google App Settings section.

Installation completed.

Debug Tools

Use Debug tool to track fatal, MySQL, and warning errors on your site. For example error 500.

Use Dev tool during development processes to see changes you have made in the code immediately after refreshing the page.

How to enable DEBUG and DEV modes

The following steps apply to users of cPanel.

Login to your cPanel account.
Browse to the directory ow_includes in your oxwall installation path.
Open config.php file in the Edit mode.
In the end of the file, change the value of the constant OW_DEBUG_MODE or OW_DEV_MODE from false to true.

Once you are done with your activities, remember to change the value back to false in the live production environment.

How to manage the Facebook connect plugin?

First you should install Facebook connect plugin by following the instructions here

1. Find the Facebook Connect plugin - move mouse cursor over it, and click the Settings button.

2. You will be directed to the Facebook connect management page.

3. Follow the steps described on this page:

Click Apps > Add a New App in the top menu.

Choose the Website option.

Click the Skip and create App ID at the top right corner.

Enter your application Display Name and Contact Email.

Select a category and click Create App ID.

You will be directed to the application Dashboard page.

Click Settings tab in the Sidebar menu.

Enter your site domain name (e.g.:www.yoursitedomain.com) and Namespace.

Click Save changes.

Click Add Platform » Select Website

Enter Site URL: http://www.yoursitedomain.com/ and click the Save Changes button.

To publish your app click App Review tab in the Sidebar menu.

Set Make mypageappid public? from No to Yes

Click Confirm in the Make app public? window.

To upload your site logo and add additional information about your website, click Settings in the Sidebar menu.

4.Go to Settings tab, copy the Application ID and App secret

Add them into Admin Area > Plugins > Installed plugins > Facebook Connect plugin.

5. Click the Save button.

Note: If the Facebook connect plugin is active and configured on your site, you have to follow these steps to configure it for your Android app.

Overview

Use Memberships to sell User Roles to your site users. Membership grants a User Role, which defines permissions available to user who purchased the membership. You can set several plans active for different periods of time within one membership which makes your pricing flexible and user-friendly.

Memberships

Use this page to manage current memberships and to create news ones.

Add Membership

Specify following settings to create a new membership.

User Role: set of permissions available to users once they purchase the membership. You can select one of the existing User Roles.
Plan: each membership has to have at least one plan outlining:
- Period: number of days membership will be active once it is purchased.
- Price: plan's cost.
- Recurring: check this option if you would like users to pay for the membership on a recurring basis. Each time the plan's period expires, system will automatically bill a user for the amount set in Price and activate the plan for the number of days set in Period.

Note: You can add several plans to one membership on Edit Membership page

This section lists all active memberships and their plans. To edit membership hover the mouse over the membership's name and click edit button.
