How to manage Profile Questions?

You can change (add/edit/remove) the profile questions on your site via Admin Area > Users > Profile Questions.

How to add a new profile question?

1. Go to Admin Area > Users > Profile Questions

2. Scroll down and click the Add Question button.

3. Enter the profile question name and description
4. Select the account type1)
5. Select section for the profile question
6. Select the type of question in the Answer type field

There are 11 types of profile questions:

The limit for the number of values is 31. This question type is optimized to provide the search, matchmaking results faster.

You can add the unlimited number of values to this question. This question type requires more time to return the results for search, matchmaking.

7. Select the columns count 2)
8. Check Required box if the question should be required
9. Select the page the question should be displayed on
10. Click Save.

Note: The limit for the number of values for the Single choice and Multiple choice types is 31.

How to edit an existing profile question?

You can see a page with profile questions and their information3) in the Profile Questions section.

This page is divided into two sections:

If you need to edit the profile question name/description or other settings, you should move the mouse cursor over the profile question and click Edit

For example, if you don't want the Real name question to be displayed on the Profile View page, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Admin Area > Users > Profile Questions
2. Move the mouse cursor over the Real name question - the Edit button will appear.

3. Click on it.
4. Uncheck the On Profile View field and click Save.

Note: Some (core) profile questions cannot be removed/added from/to the pages due to the dependence of the basic software functionality of these profile questions. So the possibility to remove/edit these profile questions is disabled in the Admin area.

Here is the list of the profile questions and their positions(disabled positions are marked):

How to delete an existing profile question?

To delete the profile question, you should go to Admin Area > Users > Profile Questions and click the Delete button.

For example, if you want to delete the Here for question from your site, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Admin Area > Users > Profile Questions
2. Move the mouse cursor over the Here for question
3. Click the Delete button.

Note: Some (core) profile questions can't be deleted, but if you don't need them, you can hide them from displaying and editing. This will effectively remove them from the site.

How to manage Account Types?

Account Types feature allows you to configure different types of users' profiles by creating different sets of the profile questions.

Create a new Account Type

To add a new account type, follow these steps:

1. Go to Admin Area > Users > Profile Questions
2. Click the Add new link next to the Male column.

3. Enter the name of new account type and select the default User Role5)

Note: You can set the different default role for different account types. This role will be given to a user on the registration.

The newly created account type will appear next to the Male column.

Edit Account Type

1. Go to Admin Area > Users > Profile Questions
2. Move mouse cursor over the account type you are going to edit.
3. Move mouse cursor over the appeared arrow.
4. Click Edit.

5. Make changes6) and click Save.

To delete the account type move mouse cursor over the account type, then over the appeared arrow and click Delete
